It is reassuring to me that a great artist like Vincent Van Gogh felt discouraged and had put down his pencil, not wanting to draw any more. I’ve felt like that. Maybe you have as well.
There are gaps in my sketchbook archive. Sometimes for years at a time. Yet like Van Gogh, I must eventually come to a point where I have no other choice but to say, “I shall rise again…I will take up my pencil…I will go on with my drawing.”
